Yes both library buildings are open to the public!  Here's what to know:

  • Visitors can peruse the physical collections, e.g. print books, newspapers, magazines, etc.
  • Visitors have access to the wireless network FandM -Guest, which should appear as an option on your device.
  • We can assist you in discovering and accessing materials in our collection.
  • During the academic year, the buildings are open to the public Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm.  For up-to-date hours, visit this site
  • One must be at least 18 years old to use the library -- anyone under 18 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times.

Lastly, please know the library's primary objective is to meet the academic needs of current Franklin & Marshall College students, faculty, and professional staff -- other library users may be asked to yield to the needs of our primary users.
